Version Support
This section lists Cybereason product versions, including GA (General availability) release dates and EOS (end of support) dates.
Note
For Japanese customers, EOS dates are extended by 3 more months. (Japan release dates are different from the other regions.)
In this topic:
Version types
Cybereason uses the following product version types:
Latest version: The “Latest” version which includes Cybereason’s latest product innovations and security enhancements. Additional releases for the latest versions are added monthly with a new minor release. Minor versions can include brand new functionality as well as fixes as required.
LTS (Long-term support) version: A version which has been widely adopted by the Cybereason customer base. Long-term support versions have releases monthly in the form of Service Packs. Service Packs include fixes as required.
Note
When you upgrade from a version that is beyond the Sensor maintenance EOS date to a supported version, you must perform an uninstall of the older version and a new install of the newer supported version, instead of a normal upgrade.

EOS: A version is supported until its End of Support (EOS) date, until the end of the month listed in the table above. During the support period, Cybereason release a monthly Service Pack to resolve critical known issues.
Sensor maintenance EOS: A sensor version has an additional maintenance support period that extends beyond its full support period. During this period and until the Sensor maintenance EOS date, Cybereason releases Service Packs for critical identified issues only. Access to self-service documentation on the Nest site will be provided upon request for versions that have passed the Sensor maintenance EOS date. Sensors must be upgraded to a supported version before raising a support case with Cybereason Support.
Note
Customers can run older server versions (up to 1 year after server EOS), but Cybereason will not provide Service Packs or hotfixes for these versions.
Sensor support policy
Our sensor support policy is as follows:
Support Category |
Sensor Full Support (1 Year) |
Sensor Maintenance (1 Year) |
---|---|---|
Backward compatibility |
✓ |

Support categories definitions include:
Backward compatibility: New server versions will continue to be compatible with the sensor version (sensor versions that are in Full or Maintenance Support).
Critical Fixes: Fixes that ensure that the sensor does not harm the endpoint, and fixes that ensure basic security value.
Bug Fixes: Fixes to functionality that are not critical fixes.
OS Support: Ensuring that the sensor supports new operating system versions.
Sensor-server compatibility
We’ve introduced improved compatibility between sensor and server versions for recent LTS versions:
Version 22.1: All 22.1 sensor minor versions are compatible with server version 22.1.209 and above.
Version 23.1: All 23.1 sensor minor versions are compatible with server version 23.1.152 and above.
Note
Upgrade to sensor and server version 22.1.248 or above is required to address the Sensor installation-upgrade issue due to Microsoft CVE.
Note
Sensors from version 23.1 are not compatible with server version 22.1. Sensors from version 22.1 are compatible with server version 23.1.
Third-party support
If a third party company withdraws their support for an operating system or platform, Cybereason reserves the right to not provide a longer period of support than the third party company. This is done at Cybereason’s discretion.
